to be an entity that directs ADUN to solutions to make use of the developing ICT technologies at the utmost degree and within the light of these technologies to ensure that the information resources of the university is structured in integrity;
Mission
- To provide (ICT) services and the needed support, consultancy and training to do with these services which are required for the education, instruction, research & development, social duty, scientific activities as well as administrative and managerial functions of ADUN, to academic and administrative units, members, students of ADUN and to other persons and establishments that is in contact within the scope of its main activities.
- To take an important role in the structuring of ICT policies and strategies of ADUN;
- For matters related to ICT, to be involved in research and development,

JOB DESCRIPTION
General Unit administration, Secretarial and Clerical duties.
Responsible for the integrity, maintenance and efficiency of the Campus Network; Provision of Internet services on Campus; Maintenance of all servers connected to the network and network security; Responsible for maintenance of network infrastructures (optic fibres, wireless access points, Ethernet cables and cablings, switches, routers, radio systems, mast , etc) in the Campus; and Responsible for installation and configuration for Cisco administration |
Responsible for program writing, design and implementations for departments, units, staff and students; Administration of the Students Online Academic Portal (SOAP) for students and allocation of access to staff for online relationship; Responsible for creating the look, layout and features of ADUN website; and Taking charge of all the programming and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) activities of the University.
Deploying multimedia system for seminars, conferences and workshops, lectures and projects/theses/dissertations defence on request; maintenance of projectors and multimedia devices located in the Campus; Organising training programme for staff and students; Offering professional certifications courses for students and staff; Responsible for Students and staff Identity cards; and maintenance of Time-attendance machine.

Summary of the Main Activities of the ICT unit:
- Design, Provision and sustainability of Internet access to the University Community.
- Responsible for the Design, provision, maintenance and efficiency of the University Intranet.
Maintenance of the University Student Life-cycle Management System. - Maintenance of both application software and repairs of computers for the University Community.
- Research support through Statistical Analysis of undergraduate and postgraduate research activities in the University Community.
- Help desk support services to the University community on ICT applications and facilities.
- Ensuring that the University community has a standard and robust Website through a constant maintenance and updating of the site.
- Providing ICT capacity building for staff and students of the University through various training programmes.
- Augmenting the revenue generation for the University through the provision of ICT services within and for the public at large.
- Assist departments and units in providing secure, reliable, University wide ICT operations;
